Tryon, North Carolina is renown for their deep rooted equestrian culture. Part of this culture in the past included hunting game on horseback in the local foothills. Traditionally these horseback mounted hunters were accompanied by tracking hounds! While these house are not used for hunting purposes today, their breed and companionship is certainly still treasured and celebrated.
